Why is Deliverance Needed

Scripture is very clear that sin leads to death. There is no mistake. That sin which has a hold on us—even lives in us—is forgiven by the blood of Jesus when we receive Him as Lord. Our sin was placed upon Him on the Cross. He took the punishment for our sin.
There may still be repercussions. Events may still play out to some degree. But as far as our relationship with Jesus is concerned, we are made whole.
“Now therefore, please forgive my sin only this once, and entreat the LORD your God, that He may take away from me this death only.” [Exodus 10:17 NKJV]
For instance, if I were a heavy drinker, there might still be repercussions. My liver might be diseased, I might be addicted, and I might still have lost my job—but I am forgiven. There are repercussions to sin.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” [Romans 6:23 NKJV]
Sometimes, He takes away the repercussions. He kills the crops of sin. Sometimes, it takes effort. You see, sin opens doors to the spiritual world. It opens us up to attacks, intrusive thoughts, possession, and other forms of spiritual oppression. We must be cleansed from the sin of this world.
Sometimes, it happens all at once, as it did with Paul. Sometimes, it takes time, as it did in David’s case. There are sins that allow spiritual principalities, powers, and forces in heavenly places to enter. Those sins give them the right to act in our lives. They may even have the right to invade our temples—our bodies.
Because of Paul’s pride, he was given a demon as a thorn in the flesh to keep his pride down. Yes! That’s right: Christians can have demons. Judas was one of the disciples, and Peter was plagued by a demon when Jesus said to him, “Get behind Me, Satan!” You see, Satan was putting thoughts into Peter’s mind. Jesus knew it.
It is not just sin. Curses, witchcraft, media, and ungodly objects can all have an effect on us and lead to torment or sin that is enhanced by demons. The witch of Endor brought up Samuel’s spirit. According to the Law of Moses, anyone who consulted a spirit of the dead was to be put to death. In 1 Samuel 28, Saul visits the witch of Endor and calls up Samuel from the dead. The result of that was death.
“The LORD will deliver both Israel and you into the hands of the Philistines, and tomorrow you and your sons will be with me. The LORD will also give the army of Israel into the hands of the Philistines.” 1 Samuel 28:19
“I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” [Genesis 12:3 NIV]
“May nations serve you and peoples bow down to you. Be lord over your brothers, and may the sons of your mother bow down to you. May those who curse you be cursed and those who bless you be blessed.” [Genesis 27:29 NIV]
Sins that bring curses include idolatry, perjury, certain sexual acts, falsifying or manipulating the gospel, and other sins. Some of these lead to death. Eli was cursed, as were Gehazi and Cain.
Jesus took those and many other curses upon Himself so that He would suffer the punishment and death. By doing so, He made a way for us to be delivered from these sins, curses, and other such evils.
This is what deliverance ministry is: setting people free, just as Jesus did. It involves removing curses, receiving forgiveness for sins, and casting out demons, just as Jesus did.
This is what the ministry of deliverance is all about: setting people free so they can serve God without fear, sin, and bondage in their lives.

Sins that are cursed are Adolatry, Perjury, Different Sexual acts, falsifying or manipulating the gospel and other sins bring with them a curse. Some of these lead to death. Eli was cursed, Gehazi, Cain. Jesus took those and many other curses upon Himself so he would suffer the punishment and the death. By doing so he made a way for us to be delivered from these sins, Curses and other such evils. This is what the deliverance ministry is. It is setting people free - Just like Jesus did. Removing the curses, forgiveness of sins and casting out demons just like Jesus did.
This is what the ministry of deliverance is all about. Setting people free so they can serve God without fear and sin and bondage in their lives
